WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!
I was invited to be a celebrity chef representing my magazine, City Unwrapped, in the Zoom Room Celebrity Bake Off and Silent Auction!!!
That’s AWESOME!
Why you ask???
Well, I will tell you!
First….I love animals!!!! All the proceeds from this event supports Animal Care & Control’s Free Community Spay/Neuter Clinic!
Second….I love to bake!!! Now, don’t get me wrong here…I am not a super, duper baker by any mean..but I L.O.V.E to bake! And while my “creations” may not look like they came from a professional, which they don’t, they usually are pretty darn tasty!!!! I even have a pretty good idea what I plan on make, but sorry folks, I can’t let the cat out of the bag yet!
And, since you are allowed to bring your animal, I will be bringing Minnie! Introduce that beautiful little girl to the world!
This event serves as the kick-off to promote The Great Harvest Bread Company’s Animal Kneads Day. This important fundraiser takes place in August each year and serves as the only annual fundraiser to support Animal Care & Control’s Free Community Spay/Neuter Clinic.
As an animal supporter and pet owner activist, Katie jumped at the chance to be a celebrity chef at this event! What will she make? Why don’t you head on down to the event to find out!
About the Celebrity Bake Off and Silent Auction:
The evening will celebrate and promote Animal Kneads Day by inviting our favorite local celebrities to prepare a fabulous baked item (using baking kits provided by The Great Harvest Bread Company or perhaps a favorite family recipe of their own). The tasty baked items, along with an autograph, will be displayed as part of a silent auction. Festivities will include live music, comedians and light refreshments, oh and don’t forget to bring your dog and test out his agility skills!

Located at the Zoom Room
The Zoom Room is conveniently located in South Charlotte just off I-485 and Johnston Road in the Toringdon shopping center (12239 North Community House Road, next to Earth Fare)
It is $5.00 if registered before 7/18 or $10.00 at the door.
