Don’t miss the Big Backyard Bird Count at Rosedale Plantation February 18th!
Historic Rosedale is a registered site for the 2016 Big Backyard Bird Count this year and welcomes anyone who would like to participate in this highly recognized Audubon event to visit their 8.9 acre urban green space and National Wildlife Federation certified bird-friendly habitat. They suggest you wear warm clothes and bring your binoculars as well as gloves and hats (and maybe a thermos of hot chocolate and a blanket to sit on) as February is not known for it’s warm and hospitable weather.
You can stay for anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours. The event is free and we will provide the needed observation forms. Sign up on their website ahead of time to ensure that they have enough tracking forms for all guests. For participants that sign up by February 15 you are eligible to purchase a buy one get one free ticket for the 1:30 tour of the 200 year year old Federal home which is the centerpiece of this beautiful property.
