To see my experience at last years Kid’s Day:
My name is Jill Graves Huddleston and I knew Blair Mills and her family. Blair was a patient at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN in 2000-2001, while our late son, Tyler, was also fighting cancer and died at age five.
Blair was a very special little girl. Beautiful both inside and out and was quite a character as well as a brave warrior.
I sat and talked, played with Blair on several occasions and she was beyond her years in age. I’m guessing she was about five or maybe six and spoke like a very distinguished adult. And no matter how sick she was feeling on any particular day, she was always kind and sweet. When I saw this, I had to write about my memories of this very special little lady.
I think of Blair often and would love to hear from her parents, Mike and family. If you are reading this, I am on Fb and can be reached at justonejillhudf@gmail.com. Jill Graves Huddleston
Jill,
I am very sorry for the loss of your son. My heart breaks for you. The people of HomeTown Heroes check this blog regularly and I hope you are able to be in contact with Blair’s parents. God Bless You.
