Adventures Abound at Wet N Wild Emerald Pointe

Adventures Abound at Wet N Wild Emerald Pointe

Over the weekend, we headed out to Greensboro, NC to check out Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Point.

The day started out overcast, which is OK with me because we have been practically living in a sauna these past few days here in Charlotte. However, by the end of the day, it sunny and HOT!

Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Point is the largest water park in both the Carolinas with over 36 rides and attractions. You don’t have to be a thrill seeker, because they have several areas to just relax by the water.

The Lazy River is one of my favorites. Let the water take me away!!! I also did not mind hanging out at Leisure Lagoon – only 3 feet deep, it is the perfect pool to keep cool, and relax.

If you are more adventurous, try Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror. Inside it is PITCH BLACK. Seriously. You cannot see the hand in front of your face as you zoom down the tunnel! Be prepared though, this ride, although the shortest in length, definitely had the longest line!

Shipwreck Cove was also a family favorite. Water surrounding a makeshift sunken pirate ship that you could jump off of? Who could ask for more?

At only 1.5 hours driving distance from Charlotte, NC, you could easily just make this a day trip. One thing to remember though, as with all amusement parks, the food and drinks are pricey. You can bring a cooler full of food and drinks and for 2.00 you can even have Wet ‘n Wild watch your cooler for you until you are ready to eat and drink!

We definitely had a great time and will be back for sure. Don’t miss you chance to see Wet ‘n Wild while the season is still open!
