You may or may not know this about me, but I like all kinds of music. And when I say ALL KINDS I mean it. From one end of the spectrum to the next.
Recently on the radio I heard the song, “I Need a Doctor” by Dr Dre & Eminem, edited of course for language. After hearing it, I wanted to see the video so I headed over to YouTube and found the official video and I was blown away by the clear, decisive product placement in this video.
In this video, you can clearly see product placement for HP, Gatorade, Ferrari, K-Swiss, and the G-Shock watch. It was so obvious they could have made multiple commercials out of it.
I don’t think I have ever seen a video that was so obviously used to promote products. It was like a 7 minute commercial. Yes, 7 minutes – that is how long the official video is.
I wonder how much Dr Dre and Eminem got paid for that product placement?
*FYI – If you search for the video on YouTube, I will forewarn you there is an exorbitant amount of cuss words. If you don’t like cussing, mute the sound and check out the product placement.
Amazing…
I know!
