Looking for an appetizer for game day? Super Bowl? Party? Look no further than this easy appetizer.
The Honey Mustard Sausage Wraps is a very easy appetizer to make, even if you are in a hurry. Plus, because Kayem offers multiple versions of their Artisan Sausage, you could try different flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 package Kayem Artisan Sausage (I used Artisan Sweet Sausage)
- 1 egg
- 1 tbs water
- 1 tbs honey mustard
- 1/2 - 1 sheet frozen pastry puff sheets (usually sold in a 17.3 oz box with 3-4 sheets) (thawed!)
- Flour
- Extra honey mustard for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Whisk egg and water in a cup or small bowl and set aside.
- Flour a flat surface.
- Unfold the thawed pastry sheet. Using a rolling pin, flatten the pastry sheet into a rectangle.
- Brush the pastry sheet with honey mustard.
- Cut the pastry sheet into 4 rectangles.
- Place 1 Kayem sausage on the side of the cut pastry rectangle, roll the sausage in the rectangle and press to seal the sides and edges. (If your rectangles are too big, just cut them down to make the sausage fit.)
- Repeat for the other 3 sausages.
- Places the rolled sausages, seam side down on a greased baking sheet.
- Baste the pastries with the egg mixture.
- Bake for 25 minutes or so, until the pastry is golden brown.
- Let cool slightly, then slice the sausage pastries and serve with extra honey mustard!

As I was making this, I noticed the Kayem Artisan Sweet Sausage had basil as an ingredient and I thought – Wow! Wouldn’t it have been delish to swap the honey mustard with some marina sauce??!! Now that is what I am talking about – An easy appetizer that gives you many options!
