Who doesn’t like crunchy cereal?
Seriously. I would much rather have some crunchy cereal than soggy cereal any.day.of.the.week. Seriously. So when I was asked to review Honey Bunches of Oats – Crunch O’s with the enticement of some seriously crunchy cereal, I said, heck yeah! While I am not a daily cereal eater, my kids both love cereal and my husband sometimes eats if for dessert. Yes, I said dessert. Welcome to my world.
So a box arrives in the mail with two boxes:
Honey Bunches of Oats – Almond Crunch O’s
Honey Bunches of Oats – Honey Crunch O’s
I have to tell Reece, Betsy, and Mel, “Please leave those boxes alone until I am ready to review them. Please.” Reece and Betsy both said “OK,” Mel just kind of looked at me. I knew if I didn’t get on the Honey Bunches of Oats Crunch O’s review, that man was going to devour them. Then life got in the way, Reece had multiple doctor appointments due to his broken kneecap, Betsy had to get ready for her school getaway, and then….then I looked for my box. And lo and behold….Mel had already eaten some of the Honey Bunches of Oats – Honey Crunch O’s. GRRRRR!
UGH. So, I asked Mel, “So how did you like the cereal?”
His response – “What cereal?” Dude. Seriously. “The Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Crunch O’s I asked you not to eat a few days ago.” He told me to look in the box. There was ONE bowl of cereal out of the whole box left for me and the kids try. Seriously?!
Obviously Mel liked the Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Crunch O’s. After further
interrogation under a bright light questioning, he told me he has always liked Honey Bunches of Oats, but liked Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Crunch O’s because of the crunch. Now we were getting somewhere. I poured the last bowl of cereal and gave it to Reece to try (of course I had a few bites myself first) and he liked it as well. While Betsy liked both, she preferred the Honey Bunches of Oats – Almond Crunch O’s.
As fans of Honey Bunches of Oats to begin with, I know I would definitely purchase Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Crunch O’s at the store for my family, but, really, for me because I do like how crunchy it is.
