EpicFest Literary Festival for Kids November 5th

EpicFest Literary Festival for Kids

Don’t miss EpicFest Literary Festival for Kids from 10 am – 4 pm on November 5th – It’s FREE!

Event is being held at:

ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center

300 East Seventh Street

Charlotte, NC 28202

This extraordinary, free literary festival connects families, children, and teens to the library, while strengthening and instilling a love of reading. Nationally recognized children’s and young adult authors and illustrators will visit Charlotte to participate as featured guests. This year’s festival includes robotics, early learning stations, family cooking, origami, journal making, puppetry, a free book for each child attending, and book signings. Books by featured authors and illustrators will be available for purchase onsite through Black Forest Books.

Throughout the day, children and families will engage in story-times, author discussions, book signings, and literary-based live and digital activities. EpicFest was created with the help of longtime Library supporter Jim Preston, to remember and honor his wife Libby, a passionate reader. Because of Jim’s support and vision, EpicFest has reached – and will continue to reach – thousands of children each year.

Jim Preston passed away in March, and this year’s EpicFest will honor our dear friend and beloved donor, along with his wife.
