We have a very busy schedule in our house during baseball season. As a matter of fact, there is only one night of the week we do not leave the house before 6:00 pm to go to some sporting activity . (Thank goodness it’s almost over!) So, generally at the beginning of the week I will have all of our meals planned so I know my kids get a good dinner in them before they run off to do sports.
This past week I received Dr. Oetker Ristorante Spinaci and Mozarella Pizza’s to sample – and it could not have been a better week to try them considering I was sick on top of everything else!
About Dr. Oetker
The Dr. Oetker company started in Germany in 1891 with the development of a special baking powder, Backin, that produced extraordinary baking results. More than 30 years ago, the first frozen pizza was launched on the German market. In 2003, Ristorante Pizza was introduced in Canada and has continued to maintain an overwhelming amount of success in the market place. Spinaci – This unique pizza is layered with savory leaf spinach and mozzarella, perfected by a hearty garlic sauce.
Mozzarella – The wonderful aroma of fresh mozzarella cheese provides this pizza with its elegant taste, combined with tomatoes and a delightful mixture of herbs.
Funghi – This one-of-a-kind vegetable pizza combines aromatic mushrooms, fruity tomatoes and fine mozzarella cheese.
Vegetale – This vegetable pizza is layered with generous helpings of tangy tomatoes, mouth-watering peppers, onions and chilies, on a crispy thin crust.
How did we like Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza’s?
Well, let’s just say Reece and Betsy were arguing over the last piece. Betsy preferred the Mozzarella, while Reece preferred the Spinaci, but when there was only one piece left, they both wanted it! Hmmm..How to make this fair? I split the last piece into thirds so we could all have that last piece!
The fact that I wanted part of that last piece of pizza is telling you something. I am generally not a fan of frozen pizza, because, well, it tastes frozen. But Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza is different – It doesn’t have that “frozen” taste and because of it’s unique ingredients, it tastes like gourmet pizza!
Try it for yourself! Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza’s are now available in Harris Teeter Store’s and retail for only $5.99!
