Someone Kissed Me in Walmart Last Night

If you know me at all, you know that I am not much of a “touchy, feely person”. I like my two feet of personal space between me and…just about anyone. Hugging people is not my forte. When greeting people a handshake or nod of the head is good enough for me! Now, I know some people are touchy, feely and I am OK with that, it works for them. Sometimes I am  jealous of people who are so free with hugs and personal affection, but I am who I am and I am OK with that.

I never would have guessed walking into Walmart last night that all my “hands off” theories would be blown out of the window! You never expect to walk into Walmart and get kissed by a random stranger do you? Well that is exactly what happened to me last night.

I was in Walmart looking for some fabric, which I did not find, and decided to head to the cosmetics department..I mean I have to look at the makeup before I leave! When all of the sudden this lady asks me, “Can you help me?”. I said “I don’t work here.” (I was wearing pink, not Walmart Blue!)

She said,”I know, can you tell me if these are the same color lip liners, my eyes aren’t so great anymore.” I said “Sure”. I don’t mind helping strangers. I was trying to find “her” color lip liner and we looked everywhere.

As I was looking through the last bin she said,”Oh well thanks for trying, I will just get this one,” when all of the sudden I found her color!

The next thing I know I am being hugged and kissed on the cheek by this lady. “Oh thank you! Thank you!” she is saying while hugging me and kissing me on the cheek. Ummmmm…I am grateful for your appreciation, but a simple “thank you” would have sufficed. HA HA HA!

Once I was able to escape her embrace, I quickly made a beeline for the checkout stand, eyes down, I was done helping strangers for the night!
