When you head to Pigeon Forge for your vacation, there are many dinner shows to choose from, but can I just say you SHOULD NOT MISS Dolly’s Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction! I have been to a couple dinner shows before and can say the food was ok, the show was ok, and overall it was an ok experience. The Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction was WAY more than OK!
I don’t know what I would say I liked the best – the hospitality from the employees, the food, the show, or the pre-show – they all get A+’s in my book!
The Dixie Stampede Dinner Show starts off the with a “pre-show” where you will enjoy live entertainment while sitting at picnic tables drinking out of souvenir Boot Mugs, and enjoying a light snack of popcorn, peanuts, or nachos.
I really liked watching the pre-show. It was funny and the trio played some really good music! To be honest, at first I thought the pre-show was the extent of the Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction! And I would have been ok with that – it was that good!
But boy was I surprised when they took us into this big arena.Above picture courtesy of Brandfluential.
The Dixie Stampede show is a fun filled adventure that includes a competition between the North and the South with each side of the arena assigned a side to cheer for. You will see majestic horses, fancy horse riding tricks, beautiful costumes, and scenery ending with “Color Me America,” a song written and recorded by Dolly Parton.
During the show you are given a feast like I have never seen in my life!
* Tender whole rotisserie chicken – Absolutely delicious!
* Hickory smoked barbeque pork loin
* Buttery corn on the cob
* Herb-basted potato
* Original creamy vegetable soup – Seriously…I could NOT get enough of this it was so yummy! I even made it from the Dixie Stampede Soup Mix!
* Hot home-made biscuit
* Specialty dessert
* And unlimited Pepsi, tea, or coffee
After the show is over you are even welcome to do a “meet and greet” with the horses and performers!
