Yes. You heard me correctly. Last week, thieves stole between 10,000 and 13,000 diapers from The Diaper Bank of North Carolina.
How terribly sad. Apparently, the founder, Michelle Old went to go pick up an order to be distributed to a homeless shelter and she found the shelves empty. What makes it even worse is that she had been told that the diapers were being sold in downtown Durham and being found at yard sales.
Who steals diapers that are going to be used for those in need? I know…the same people who rob churches…the people who don’t care..who clearly have no heart. Appalling. Non-profits are NON PROFITS. Meaning….they do a lot of work and there is NO PROFIT that comes from their hard work. They help others that are less fortunate and try to make our community a better place.
