Twisted Eggs In a Basket
Recipe type: Breakfast

This is a delicious twist to the Eggs in a Basket recipe, especially for those who don't like over easy eggs. My entire family devoured this! This particular recipe is for a serving of 6 (one egg each and one piece of Nature’s Harvest® Bread. If you need more, just add more!)
Ingredients
  • 6 slices Nature’s Harvest® Honey Wheat Bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup diced green peppers
  • 1 cup diced red peppers
  • 1 cup fully cooked crumbled sausage
  • butter
Instructions
  1. Cut a hole in each slice of bread. I used a cup to cut the hole!
  2. Heat small frying pan to medium and add a small pat of butter.
  3. Lightly butter each side of Nature’s Harvest® Honey Wheat Bread.
  4. Place the bread in the frying pan, and crack an egg in the hole of the bread.
  5. Add some red peppers, green peppers and sausage. Cook for about 2 minutes on first side or until you see the bread getting brown on the bottom.
  6. Very gently, flip the bread and it's contents over, and cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the egg is fully cooked.
  7. Serve!
