Outback's Aussie Cheese Fries Recipe Copycat
 
Ingredients
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • oil for frying
  • OR
  • 1 bag of frozen, unseasoned, fries
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
  • 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Instructions
  1. In a small bowl combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion salt. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Cut and peel potatoes into fries size. Submerge fries in water for 30 minutes. Remove the potatoes from the water, pat them dry. Add fries to preheated oil and deep fry until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel. OR - Make the frozen, unseasoned, fries as directed.
  3. Preheat oven to 400.
  4. Once fries are done, spread them out on a baking sheet and sprinkle with the seasoning you had set aside earlier.
  5. Sprinkle with both monterey jack cheese and cheddar cheese.
  6. Add the cooked and crumbled bacon on top of the fries and cheese.
  7. Bake for 5 minutes, or until cheese has melted.
  8. Serve with Blue Cheese or Ranch dressing.
