1 ½ Cups Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice (approximately 10 lemons)
1 Cup Sugar
5 Cups Water
Instructions
Combine 1 Cup sugar and 1 Cup of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until sugar is dissolved, approximately 4 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
While sugar water is boiling, squeeze 1 ½ cups of lemon juice. (Use a reamer or juicer.)
In a large pitcher, combine the cooled sugar syrup, lemon juice and 4 cups of cold water.
Taste for tartness. If too tart, add a cup of water. Remember when the lemonade is served over ice, the ice will dilute the lemonade.
